Must do Aitutaki Having done the Bishops cruise the day before, which was excellent, Teds tour of the Lagoon was the perfect way to finish our holiday here. Sailing around this idellyic destination is something special, Turtles ofen popping their heads up close by the boat seemingly comfortable with our presence vs the motorised option the day before. Literally letting the wind take us wherever it would allow us. Snorkeling without a crowd, listening to Teds knowledgeable commentary and stories, dining on fresh tropical fruit....truely a memorable day!

Ted's sailing was the highlight of our trip to Aitutaki! We spent a fantastic week on Aitutaki and saw a lot of the island, but nothing compared to being taken out by Ted on his Hobie Kat! Ted's knowledge of the lagoon is second to none and his knowledge of the islands history made for the best day of our holiday. Ask him for a fresh coconut drink, it is pure theatre. HIGHLY recommended!
Hats off to Captain Ted The whole experience has been amazing! We had our own private, nature-friendly catamaran, and explored the lagoon, reaching remote places that motorised boats can't get to. We even got to the touristic places like One Foot Island before anyone else, so we had the island to ourselves. The snorkeling places we went to were superb, with hundreds of beautiful fish surrounding us, not afraid of humans, since they barely see any. And just being on the boat, with the wind in our hair, hearing nothing but the waves, was amazing. Can't recommend Captain Ted and Sailing Aitutaki enough
Private outing was highlight of our recent South Pacific trip We had an excellent adventure with the unflappable Captain Ted. We powered through an unpleasant morning weather wise and sailed to the lessor-visited Bird Island. Ted provided an amazing picnic lunch on the beach, right down to the fresh coconut water, that quickly erased the suffering we'd experienced in the wind and rain - strictly a function of our crappy timing. The skies finally cleared for literally smooth sailing back to Aitutaki. He provided for a full day's outing for the same money a cruise-ship tour would have cost us but with the addition of a lot of interesting background information on the Cook Islands. I highly recommend Captain Ted.
Fantastic Coach Ted Had the best experience sailing and windsurfing with Ted. Smooth planning, everything was set up in no time and Ted is an incredibly gifted coach and warm hearted person. Felt save and encouraged at any time + it's really good to learn windsurfing in the beautiful warm water around the blue lagoon 😉 One of the best 'tourist' experiences I've ever had. Thank you Ted!

Amazing Captain Ted Forget those gas spewing tourist boats, full of people you don't know and don't want to know. Join Capt' Ted, and amazing sailor, interesting none stop facts around his native islands. Spectacular;ar scenery unfolds perfectly under blue skies and crisp winds, helmed perfectly by Ted. Just an amazing experience and by far the best experience we had on Aitutaki. Cheers Capt' Ted and keep doing what you do so well. Michael and Janet

The best way to see the lagoon! You could get on one of those boats with hordes of other people and chug around to the thumping drone of an engine... or... You could head out on a private tour of the lagoon with only the sound of the wind in the sails and waves off the bow! We arranged our tour through our Hotel and the communication was clear what was expected - BYO towel and sunscreen. All the rest was provided - water, fruit, coconuts and snorkel gear. We had a picture perfect day and managed to beat the main boat operators to all the major highlights as well as being able to snorkel in a location inaccessible to other boats. The sailing was great. We even spotted a few turtles. The seats aren't the most comfortable by hey! Your sailing! Ted was an excellent host and was very knowledgeable about the lagoon and island. If you like to sail I can't recommend this enough. We could have spent all day sailing around the lagoon.

Sail on the Lagoon with the National Sailing Coach Having gone a lagoon cruise previously, my wife and I wanted to do something a bit different. We found this in Sailing Aitutaki , with Captain Ted at the helm. This is a great way to experience the beautiful Aitutaki Lagoon, no noisy engines just you the breeze and slapping of water against the hull. Captain Ted makes this a very enjoyable trip on the Lagoon taking you to some beautiful snorkeling locations that other cruises cannot reach, with a local insight into the area. This is a must do for any honeymooning couple.

Best activity on the Aitutaki lagoon We had great sailing with captain Ted today visiting One Foot Island. Day before we were ment to sail the weather was not nice so Ted was happy to postpone the booking one day and it was a great move. Great sailing first 2 hours to reach One Foot against the wind where we had some lunch and snorkeling with GTs. Then smooth sailing back to Ootu with wind on our back. Ted is skilled sailor and has plenty of stories to share about the island, sea and the animals.
Sailing the Most Beautiful Lagoon!! Aitutaki is an incredible island, but sailing it was an unforgettable experience. Not only did Ted teach me how to sail (some on the way there, and the whole time back), but I got to do some private snorkeling at the edge of the lagoon. Just bring strong sunscreen!
